COLUMBUS, OH -- The inaugural "Breakfast with the Best" was held Tuesday, September 21, 2004, 7:30 a.m. at the Southern Theater and benefited Action for Children, Central Ohio's premier advocate and leader for early childhood education and childcare issues.

"Action for Children's Circle of Business seeks to help employers gain insight into the work/life balance issues affecting their employees," Action for Children Board President Mary Cusick, of Bob Evans said. "Balancing the pressures of work and family is second only to income in importance to employees. Breakfast with the Best will provide an excellent forum for addressing these issues, while also supporting a very worthy cause, Action for Children."

The Circle of Business event featured keynote speaker Richard K. Smucker, President, co-CEO and CFO of Ohio-based J.M. Smucker, recently named the Number One Best Company to Work for by Fortune Magazine. The Company, which recently purchased Pillsbury, is the maker of the leading U.S. brand of jams, jellies and preserves, and also owns Jif, the number one peanut butter brand, as well as Crisco.
