Work Related Seminars

As employees there are numerous issues and concerns that while at work, can spill into personal life. Knowing how to handle these areas of concern and challenge can be very empowering. You may feel alone in your concern, however the opportunity to address these topics in a group setting is very reassuring and more comfortable.

• Adjusting to Workplace Change
Today's workplaces are filled with opportunities for change. Sometimes change is a choice and other times it is not. These seminars will provide suggestions on coping with work changes. We will share ideas on networking, prioritizing and selfpreservation to cope with the challenge of transition in the best possible manner.

• Time Management Strategies
Our lives are filled with work responsibilities, family life and leisure time. Juggling these areas can be challenging and overwhelming. Seminars on this topic will address organizational skills for home and work, balancing work and family time, and examining life goals.

• Stress Management
Stress has many causes and consequences. Topics to be discussed will include effects of stress and finding ways to counteract those effects. In addition, we will discuss creating and living with realistic expectations, managing stress through organization, and dealing with stress outside of work.

• Team Building
Organizations function best when the teams that support them are healthy and cohesive. Seminars on team building will address the communication, support and management necessary for areas within a system to run effectively. We will share ideas on individuality and the importance of each team.

• Peace in the Workplace
These seminars will address the types of violence and the ways it affects our lives. Participants will be given the opportunity to identify forms of violence, which may include, family, community, workplace, and media violence. Individuals' respond to violence by physical or health reactions, fear, and post-traumatic stress disorder. We will discuss coping methods such as relaxation; stress management and empowerment that can help alleviate these reactions. Information will also be presented on helping children cope with violence and trauma.
